Cripple Creek-Victor had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 13-3 to the Simla Cubs on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Cubs: they've now lost four in a row.

Cripple Creek-Victor saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Witt, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The win got Simla back to even at 2-2.

Cripple Creek-Victor has already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Denver Academy on the 7th. As for Simla, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-0 victory against Cotopaxi on the 8th.
