Basketball Game Preview: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders vs. McAllen Memorial Mustangs

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North and McAllen Memorial are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders will finish 2024 at home by hosting the McAllen Memorial Mustangs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North came up short against Pioneer and fell 55-47. The Raiders have struggled against the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McAllen Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial with a sharp 69-45 victory on Friday.

McAllen Memorial's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North took a serious blow against McAllen Memorial in their previous matchup back in February, falling 82-40. Can Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
