Eli Burns Game Report: vs Christ the Cornerstone Academy

Eli Burns was dynamite on Tuesday, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one walk. For the season, he has an ERA of 1.31 over 16 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Burns and Cape Fear Christian Academy are taking a road trip to face off against Village Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles haven't beaten the Knights recently, having gone 0-9 since March of 2017.
