University takes loss despite strong efforts from Ethan Adams and Mo Kamara

Recap: University Cougars vs. Oak Ridge Pioneers

After a string of nine wins, the University Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Oak Ridge on the road and fell 91-41. University has not had much luck with Oak Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

University's loss came despite strong showings from Mo Kamara and Ethan Adams. Kamara scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Adams scored seven points along with two steals. Kamara hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games.

Oak Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Tillery, who scored 24 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamier Jones, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

University's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Oak Ridge, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

University and Dr. Phillips will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Oak Ridge, they will square off against St. Ignatius at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. St. Ignatius has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 957 points over their last 12 games.
