Basketball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullard Panthers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 73-43 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bullard, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-60 loss against Athens on the 12th. As for Bullard, they and Brewer will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Bullard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Brewer likes a good challenge.
