After losing to Sumter County the last time they met, Rutland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hurricanes came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Rutland never let Sumter County on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23.

Rutland's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Sumter County, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rutland will take on Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sumter County, they will be playing at home against Calhoun County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
