Basketball Recap: Martin County Victorious

Paintsville typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Martin County proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Paintsville Tigers 72-69. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-51 back in January.

Martin County has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.5 points per game. As for Paintsville, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

Martin County will face off against Hurricane at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paintsville, they will square off against Johnson Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
