Unicoi County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Sullivan East Patriots by a score of 59-50. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Sullivan East's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Hubbard, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. Hubbard is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Issac Deel, who posted 11 points.

Unicoi County's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sullivan East, their record is now 5-7.

Unicoi County and Sullivan East will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Blue Devils see the court they'll take on Elizabethton at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Sullivan East, their break will end when they face East Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th.
