Baseball Recap: Sumter Gamecocks vs. Lugoff-Elgin Demons
Sumter was the 2-1 winner over Lugoff-Elgin when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Sumter Gamecocks took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lugoff-Elgin Demons on Friday.
Sumter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cory Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI. Bailey has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
