Volleyball Game Preview: Marist War Eagles vs. St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions

The Marist War Eagles will take on the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Marist is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Walton, who was ranked fifth at the time (Marist was ranked 11th). The War Eagles fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The War Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, St. Pius X Catholic beat Davidson Fine Arts 2-0 on Saturday.

St. Pius X Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-18 record this season. As for Marist, their defeat dropped their record down to 30-6.
