Riverdale and Fort Myers squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Riverdale had to settle for second. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Wave. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ella Bundy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jamie Marie Penia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Fort Myers, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-1 record this season.

Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Myers, they will challenge Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
