 Plainfield lost a heartbreaker to Center Grove when they met  back in May of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again  on Tuesday. The Plainfield Quakers lost  12-2 to the Center Grove Trojans. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Plainfield in their matchups with Center Grove: they've now lost four in a row.
 Plainfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Holsclaw, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 On Center Grove's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Cayden Jones, who  went 1-for-1 with a  home run and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Noah Coy, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  runs.

 Plainfield will face off against Avon at 12:00  p.m.  on Monday. Avon will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  match than the last. As for Center Grove, they will square off against Bloomington South at 12:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams are coming into the  matchup red-hot, with Bloomington South sitting on  three straight  wins and Center Grove on five.
