Recap: Marshall Rams vs. Brackenridge Eagles
The Marshall Rams were the 62-39 winner over the Brackenridge Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Marshall took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brackenridge on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Marshall came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Brackenridge is ranked 677th).
Brackenridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alasia Brown, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Brown's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Fatima Gloria, who scored 15 points.
Marshall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season. As for Brackenridge, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall is on the road again on Wednesday and play against SA Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th. SA Roosevelt is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Brackenridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Burbank at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burbank will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
