Jabarie Thornton posted a new career-high in receiving yards on Friday. He picked up 219 receiving yards and two TDs. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (121.5).

Thornton and La Vega will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gatesville at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The game will pit Thornton up against the Hornets' star receiver Amos Phillips. The only thing left to do is find out who's the greater deep ball threat. You'll have to watch the game to know for sure.
