Recap: Victory Christian Lions vs. Appalachian Eagles
It was a good run, but the Victory Christian Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They were outmatched by Appalachian at home and fell 82-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Victory Christian has suffered yet this season.
Victory Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Scott, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was William Wilson-Hueter, who scored 12 points.
Victory Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10. As for Appalachian, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Victory Christian will square off against Fayetteville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Appalachian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Vincent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
