Brookstone had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Schley County Wildcats 52-49. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 55-31 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brookstone's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reid Adams led the charge by putting up 12 points and six boards. Chapman Dykes was another key player, scoring ten points and eight rebounds.

Brookstone's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. As for Schley County, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
