Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Wolves are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cypress Falls has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season. Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7.
