Football Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Carlisle Wildcats

The Gilbert Tigers will face off against the Carlisle Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Carlisle will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Gilbert extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Tigers blew past Bondurant-Farrar, posting a 55-6 victory. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carlisle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 53-0 win over Des Moines North. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 226th).

Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Gilbert, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Gilbert against Carlisle when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-10 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
