Softball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Nicholas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Pendleton County Wildcats, falling 9-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejackets of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Nicholas County's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Pendleton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Pendleton County has already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Robertson County on the 7th. Hopefully Nicholas County paid attention to the Wildcats' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
