Volleyball Recap: Allie Peacock's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Peniel Baptist Academy over Crescent City

Peniel Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crescent City Raiders. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Peniel Baptist Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19.

Peniel Baptist Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie Peacock, who had 20 assists and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Jacobs, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Peniel Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crescent City, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Peniel Baptist Academy will host Riverside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crescent City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Pine Ridge on the 25th.
