Softball Game Preview: Waller Bulldogs vs. Bridgeland Bears

The Waller Bulldogs will square off against the Bridgeland Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Waller has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 25.

Waller came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Cypress Ranch by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday.

Taylor McCurdy was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Avery Jameson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bridgeland got themselves on the board against Cypress Park on Tuesday, but Cypress Park never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 15-0 win.

Bridgeland let Lexie Mingle and Rylie Marquart run wild. Mingle went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Marquart scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Mingle a new career-high in RBI (three).
