Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Christian vs. Hillcrest

The Rancho Christian Eagles will challenge the Hillcrest Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rancho Christian fell victim to Heritage and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came up short against Perris on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 646th, while the Panthers are ranked 97th).

Hillcrest's goal came courtesy of Devin Jenkins, who's now up to three this season.

Hillcrest's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-6-3. As for Rancho Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
