With a playoff win on the line, Mt. Spokane rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Stanwood Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 22 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Mt. Spokane's fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-1. As for Stanwood, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Spokane beat the Spartans by a score of 14-1 later that day.
