Football Game Preview: Martin County Tigers vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

While Martin County's win against Sebastian River wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Martin County skirted past Sebastian River 21-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 28, 2024.

Martin County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Staten, who picked up 49 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the most receiving touchdowns Staten has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Delaney Gribben, who gained 86 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Sebring owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against Avon Park by a score of 7-0. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Streaks in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won eight in a row.

Martin County pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Sebring, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
