Video: Is this the best alley-oop of 2015-16?
Watch Mildred (Texas) throw down a fierce alley-oop.After weeks of regular-season sparring, the pairings are set for the UIL boys basketball playoffs that begin this week.
No matter what has transpired to this point for MaxPreps Texas Top 25 teams, seasons will ultimately be judged on postseason performance.
No. 1 Atascocita and No. 3 Lancaster are the top-ranked teams in Classes 6A and 5A, respectively. Lancaster is attempting to repeat in its classification.
For the largest classifications, seven postseason victories are required in win-or-go-home matchups in order to lift the trophy on Saturday, March 12 at San Antonio's Alamodome.
Breaking it down:
* Wins in three playoff rounds (bi-district, area and regional quarterfinals) are needed to reach four-team regional tournaments on March 4-5.
* Two more wins at regionals gain a spot at the state final four, March 9-12.
* Then two more wins in the Alamo City and it is celebration time for the last teams standing.
