Basketball Recap: Owsley County Comes Up Short

Owsley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 67-47 to the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 68-54 loss back in January.

Owsley County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owsley County will square off against Williamsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
