Basketball Recap: Broken Arrow Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Broken Arrow won the last time they faced Glenpool and things went their way on Friday too. The Broken Arrow Tigers blew past the Glenpool Warriors 66-44. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

McKenzie Mathurin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. The game was her 17th in a row with at least ten points. Taryn Jacobs was another key player, putting up eight points.

Broken Arrow smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matches.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyra Mckinnie, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Mckinnie has become a key player for Glenpool: the team is 7-2 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Shawnee, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Broken Arrow is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Glenpool, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-6.

Broken Arrow has already played their next game, a 64-35 win against Edmond Santa Fe on the 25th. As for Glenpool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-28 loss against Edmond North on the 25th.
