Volleyball Recap: Wausau West's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Wausau West waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Athens Bluejays by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Wausau West found their leader in sophomore Ava Ngo, who had 15 assists. Those 15 assists set a new season-high mark for Ngo.

Wausau West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive contests.

The victory got Wausau West back to even at 7-7. As for Athens, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Wausau West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Winneconne on the 13th. As for Athens, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Newman Catholic on the 13th.
