Melissa strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Texas Tigers with a sharp 13-1 win. Considering the Cardinals have won 25 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eloisa Maes looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caigan Crabtree, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Bradley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs.

Melissa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.

Melissa pushed their record up to 30-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Texas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9-1.

Melissa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
