Volleyball Game Preview: La Center Wildcats vs. Meridian Trojans

The La Center Wildcats will face off against the Meridian Trojans at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

La Center is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Cascade Christian 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

La Center wouldn't go down easily and took Cascade Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Meridian posted their closest win since October 1st on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cedar Park Christian, sneaking past 3-2.

Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for La Center, their win bumped their record up to 27-1.

La Center beat Meridian 3-1 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
