Baseball Game Preview: Laguna Beach Breakers vs. St. Margaret's Tartans

For the second straight game, Laguna Beach will face off against St. Margaret. The Breakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Laguna Beach's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while St. Margaret's has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Wednesday, Laguna Beach needed a bit of extra time to put away St. Margaret's. They came out on top against the Tartans by a score of 4-1.

Branson Wade spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Yencho was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Laguna Beach's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for St. Margaret's, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
