Recap: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. Aiken Fighting Green Hornets
The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-61 to Aiken. Even though they lost, Dutch Fork's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.8 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the defeat, Dutch Fork saw an underclassman step up: Jake Bogan scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Justus Bell, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Dutch Fork's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Aiken, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Dutch Fork will finish 2023 at home by hosting Mid-Carolina at 6:05 p.m. on December 27th. Aiken won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Strom Thurmond at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Strom Thurmond will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
