Volleyball Recap: Grandview Heights Takes a Loss

Grandview Heights lost against Buckeye Valley back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats came up short against the Barons, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-9.

Madelyn Smith paced Grandview Heights' offense, picking up three kills. Smith got some help from Juliana Sanzo and her five assists.

Among those leading the charge was Payton Loedding, who had four aces and three digs.

Grandview Heights has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Buckeye Valley, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Grandview Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Whitehall-Yearling on the 27th. As for Buckeye Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bexley on the 28th.
