Volleyball Recap: Fall River Falls Short of Abundant Life in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fall River can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Abundant Life Challengers on Thursday. The Pirates have struggled against the Challengers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.

Natalie Fietz paced Fall River's offense, picking up six kills. Fietz got some help from Addison McDonald and her 13 assists. McDonald was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Abundant Life can attribute much of their success to Jada Grimes, who had 14 digs and two aces. Grimes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Fall River now has a losing record of 16-17. As for Abundant Life, they pushed their record up to 32-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Fall River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Abundant Life has already played their next match (against Oakfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
