Basketball Recap: Quinter's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Quinter won the last time they faced Ness City, and Shea S Salyers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Quinter Bulldogs managed a 61-56 win over the Ness City Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to S Salyers, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played.

Ness City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Broxton Gall, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Those 14 points gave Gall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charles Parsons, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

The victory (which was Quinter's third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Ness City, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Quinter will challenge Dighton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dighton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Quinter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ness City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Rawlins County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
