Meanwhile, Fountain Valley beat Newport Harbor 65-55 on Friday.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Fountain Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
