Softball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hannan on Friday, Phelps came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Pike County Central Hawks on Tuesday, falling 14-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Phelps' defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pike County Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

Coincidentally, Phelps and Pike County Central will both be playing East Ridge the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
