Baseball Game Preview: East Pennsboro Panthers vs. Indiana Little Indians

The East Pennsboro Panthers will face off against the Indiana Little Indians on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Pennsboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Elizabeth Forward. The Panthers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Niko Thalassinos looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Steel Bayer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Lucas Martz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

East Pennsboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Indiana waltzed into their game on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors an 8-0 shutout.

East Pennsboro's victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Indiana, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.
