Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield South Cougars vs. Yorkville Foxes + How To Watch

The Plainfield South Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Yorkville Foxes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield South has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 18.

On Tuesday, Plainfield South came up short against Plainfield East and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Yorkville earned a 2-0 win over Plainfield Central on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Foxes in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Yorkville easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18.

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Yorkville, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Plainfield South skirted past Yorkville 2-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
