Maryvale Prep waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 61-34 victory over the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-13.

Despite the defeat, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf had strong showings from Donovan Etheridge, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists, and David Garcia, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Etheridge has posted since back in December of 2023.

Maryvale Prep pushed their record up to 4-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
