Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lewis Central). They secured a 63-58 W over the Gretna Dragons on Monday. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Despite the loss, Gretna saw an underclassman step up: freshman Koco Janssen posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave Janssen a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Megan Marshall, who scored ten points.

Lewis Central pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Gretna, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis Central will face off against Kuemper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gretna, they will take on Duchesne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
