Basketball Recap: Teays Valley Comes Up Short

Teays Valley lost against Newark back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Teays Valley Vikings came up short against the Newark Wildcats, falling 71-49. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while the Wildcats are ranked 26th).

This is the second loss in a row for Teays Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Newark, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Teays Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Pickerington Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Teays Valley is facing Pickerington Central at the right time seeing as Pickerington Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Newark, they will take on Reynoldsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
