Smithville is 9-1 against Rittman since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Smithville Smithies will be playing at home against the Rittman Indians at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Smithville has six straight wins, Rittman has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Smithville will bounce into Friday's game after beating Dalton, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Smithville managed a 51-45 victory over Dalton on Tuesday. Given the Smithies' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rittman took a blow against Chippewa on Tuesday, falling 61-30.

Rittman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Smithville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Smithville strolled past Rittman when the teams last played back in January by a score of 65-46. Does Smithville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rittman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
