Flag Football Recap: Buena Comes Up Short

Buena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pacifica Tritons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tritons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-0 back in September.

Buena's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Pacifica, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Coming up, Buena will square off against Huntington Beach at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Oilers' defense has only allowed 8.5 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pacifica, they will take on Valencia in a tournament on Saturday.
