Volleyball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Comes Up Short

ALA - Queen Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Desert Vista on Friday. The Patriots fell 2-0 to the Thunder.

While ALA - Queen Creek ultimately came up short, they really made Desert Vista work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21.

Sara Bowcutt paced ALA - Queen Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Bowcutt got some help from Brinkley Johnson and her 15 assists.

ALA - Queen Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Desert Vista, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Coincidentally, ALA - Queen Creek and Desert Vista will both be playing Skyline the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Coyotes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
