Basketball Recap: New Hope Takes a Loss

If New Hope was feeling good fresh off their 63-27 takedown of West Point last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Hope Trojans might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Pontotoc Warriors an easy 51-30 win. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

New Hope's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Pontotoc, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

New Hope and Germantown will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pontotoc will take on Callaway in a holiday battle at on Saturday.
