Softball Recap: Pine Grove Takes a Loss

Pine Grove was the 5-0 winner over Wheeler when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pine Grove Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-4 to the Wheeler Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reagan Childs was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

Pine Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Wheeler, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pine Grove Panthers duke it out with Jumpertown Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they are taking a road trip to take on Biggersville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Biggersville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
