It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact El Cerrito can now relate to. They fell just short of the Berean Christian Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Gauchos' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Arlie Tatum was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Olive Calvin also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

El Cerrito's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Berean Christian, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

El Cerrito does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berean Christian, they will face off against Salesian College Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pride's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
