Baseball Recap: Madeira Takes a Loss

Madeira blew Batavia out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Batavia got their revenge. The Mustangs and Amazons fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs and Amazons have suffered since April 29, 2025.

Madeira moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Batavia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Madeira is taking a road trip to square off against Reading at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs and Amazons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Batavia, they will welcome Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
