             Mountainside entered their  matchup against Glendale Prep Academy  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mountainside Wolves fell to the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins  26-21. The Wolves lost against the Griffins in their previous head to head  back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  55-0 score last time.
 When it comes to explaining why Mountainside lost, don't look at  Daniel Gregg. Despite the final result, he rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 89 yards and a touchdown. That's the most  rushing yards  Gregg has posted since back in September of 2023.
 Mountainside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Tyler Fry.
 Glendale Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Dylan Lincoln led the charge by picking up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Lincoln was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was  Joshua Mchale, who threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt.
 This is the second loss in a row for Mountainside and  nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Mountainside has already played their next match,  a  28-8  loss against Cortez on the 4th. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  44-0  victory against Kingman Academy on the 4th.
